What happened to my ESPN Credit card/Rewards website/800 number for WaMu and the ESPN Total Access Rewards center? The ESPN Total Access Visa Card and the Rewards program were discontinued as of April 15, 2009. Washington Mutual was acquired by Chase and the ESPN credit card and rewards program discontinued. Multiple communications were sent out to members alerting them of the timeframe and of the shutdown. Both the Washington Mutual and ESPN Total Access Rewards websites have also been shutdown, along with the respective customer contact centers.
Why was I never contacted?ESPN made every attempt with the information we were provided to alert members of the situation. A letter was sent by Chase in late January/early February. ESPN followed up with its own letter for the Rewards program, just a week later. ESPN also sent three emails for those members who gave us their email addresses (1/30, 3/12, 4/10). We apologize for any inconvenience but the program has ended and points cannot be reactivated.
I still have points - what happens to them?Members were notified by post mail and email that points were valid for redemption until April 15th. Any unused points after April 15th have been forfeited.
I used my points (made a redemption) in March/April and still have not yet received it. Where's my order? All orders made before April 15th are valid. We are experiencing a backorder situation on certain items. As soon as the items become available again, they will be shipped to the address noted on the order. If you made an experiential redemption (e.g., ESPN Tour) and have not been contacted, please call ESPN Customer Care at 1-888-549-3776 and provide your name, phone number and email address and you will be contacted.
I received my [order] but there's something wrong with it.Our rewards center will replace any damaged item. Please call ESPN Customer Care at 1-888-549-3776 and give us your name, phone number, mailing address and email address. We'll contact you with further information once this call/issue is processed.
